Do Not Fear Bad News
“They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.”- Psalms 112:7
This Bible verse jumped out at me when I did my Soap(search soap for more info) journaling today.
Seems like fear is the opposite of trust. I want this verse to be true of me- I do not want to fear bad news.
Actually I usually freak out. I usually think through a million “what ifs”. I let the fear build.
As fear builds…
stress builds
anxiety builds
God is so much bigger than what I am worrying about. No problems, circumstances etc is too big for God.
I want to confidently trust Him to care for me.
Not half-heartiedly trust or just a little trust
but trust with confidence
Definition of confident: having a strong belief or full assurance, feeling or showing certainty about something.
Synonyms: optimistic, hopeful, sure, certain, positive, convinced, in no doubt, satisfied, assured, persuaded
I can start to stress if our CA house will sell this spring or if we will find the right home to buy. I want
to confidently trust the Lord to care for us.
One of my favorite verses, Ephesians 3:20, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
This verse has been so true in my life. God has done far more than I could have ever dreamed for my life.
Jesus, help me to confidently trust you will care for us.
